Three disciplines, applied together

AI3 brings together the person, the tool and the business context. Its three disciplines help teams create useful, responsible change.

Appreciative Inquiry

Grounded in Appreciative Inquiry, we start with the work that is worth protecting and growing. We identify what people are responsible for, where their strengths and expertise create the most value, and what currently limits their impact.

From there, we redesign workflows around AI. Routine effort can be reduced, the quality of work can deepen, and new areas of contribution can emerge. The aim is not to automate people out of the work. It is to shift more time into judgement, relationships and craft.

Teams build from their own expertise, they remain responsible for the redesigned workflow, the automation and the outputs it produces.

Artificial Intelligence

Meaningful AI-enabled workflows start with a clear understanding of what AI can and cannot do. This is not about chasing every new tool. It is about staying grounded in the team’s responsibilities, the work that needs to happen, and the capabilities that can genuinely help.

We help teams manage three practical risks: hallucinations, output quality and consistency. The solution might be a web application, a Python script that personalises reports, or an agentic workflow built around skills files. The right approach depends on the use case, what the team needs to do, and the best way to deliver it.

Every organisation has its own guardrails. We work within approved tools, data and security requirements, so teams understand what information can safely enter an AI-enabled workflow and what must remain protected.

Applied Intrapreneurship

Applied Intrapreneurship is for leaders who own systems, departments or strategy. It looks beyond AI implementation to how AI can create new value and help the organisation grow from within.

AI can increasingly automate and execute repeatable work. But using AI in a workflow does not, on its own, create a competitive edge. When every organisation is adopting similar tools, the advantage comes from what a team chooses to do with the time and capacity AI creates.

This pillar helps leaders turn that capacity into new opportunities. Teams explore what else the organisation can do, whether to improve an internal service, strengthen a client-facing offer or initiate a new project. The goal is not to keep jobs busy for their own sake. It is to create meaningful, valuable work so people remain gainfully employed as the work changes.
